EnglishOn December 27, China's largest single floating photovoltaic power plant – the floating PV power plant of the Southern Fuyang Wind-Solar Power Base in Anhui Province – achieved full-capacity grid connection. This is of great significance for building a self-regulating aquatic ecosystem and promoting the energy structure transformation in the Yangtze River Delta.

Located in Fuyang, Anhui, this largest floating PV power plant in China is equipped with 1.2 million PV modules, covering an area equivalent to 1,300 standard football fields. It is also China's floating PV project that makes the most comprehensive use of idle water surfaces in coal mining subsidence areas.Through rational layout of PV modules, the floating power plant covers the water surface to reduce evaporation, suppress excessive algae growth, improve water quality and protect the ecological environment.Combined with the “fish-light complementary” model, it develops aquaculture and realizes water environment improvement.

Built on a 13,000 mu water area formed by coal mining subsidence, the project has a total installed capacity of 650 MW, consisting of 122 ultra-large PV arrays. It generates an average annual output of about 700 million kWh, saving approximately 220,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 580,000 tons each year.
The entire 650MWp project adopts NET's [NAS]® fully flexible floating system with installation services provided by the company.Once again, NET has set a new global record for the installed capacity of the world's largest single floating photovoltaic power plant.
